Place it in the same directory as your LighthousePup-3.01b7.iso
If your running
3.01b7 (which has xdelta3,) open a terminal in that directory and type
'xdelta3 -d
LighthousePup-3.01b7-3.01c.iso.xdelta3'.
(If not and you don't have
xdelta3 already you'll need this small .pet first: http://www.puppylinux.ca/tpp/bugs/xdelta-3t.pet)
Verify the md5sum on your new LighthousePup-3.01c.iso
Change Log v3.01c
Previous version would not boot on machines with 256M RAM--"out of memory" error fixed by editing the init script to account for larger main file.
Presence or absence of linux-swap is displayed during boot sequence, and a tip to create one with GParted if swap is not present.
Boot screen now shows whenever e2fsck disk check is running.
Faster boot: As with Puppy 4.1,
by default pup_301c_lighthouse.sfs is not copied into RAM, regardless
of how much RAM there is--unless 'pfix=copy' is specified. To enable copy to RAM in Lighthouse press 'c'
(or 'lhp pfix=copy') at the boot menu. Automated test for sufficient
free RAM prior to copying. When copy is enabled, both space needed and
free RAM are displayed during the boot sequence.
Press 'h' <Enter> at boot menu to boot from primary hard
disk, starting alternate O.S., e.g. Win XP or other Linux. Of course
you can also do this by removing the Lighthouse CD from the drive.
KDE updated to v3.5.10. Flash plugin updated to v10.0r12. Real player 11 and plugins updated
Added GtkPod, Gnomad2 for Ipod/Iriver, Xsane, Iscan scanning software
Fixed odd checkbox behavior of default Gtk theme Panther-LHP
Minimum RAM:
with a linux-swap partition: 128M, w/o swap: 192M, with swap & copy
to RAM to free up CD drive: 384M, w/o swap & copy to RAM: 448M.
Note1: you can also free up the CD drive with a frugal install, or with frugal and a GRUB bootloader configuration.
Note2:
These are approximate; more is helpful, especially when running several large
apps at once.

updates include
KDE 3.5.9, K3b 1.0.5, Java 1.6u7, Firefox 3.03, Flash 9.0 r124, Azureus
3.0.5.2, Pburn-2.0.9, Fotoxx 5.3.1, gtkam, glibc 2.7, Juk Jukebox & Music
Manager, Noatun, Muppymplayer, KScreensavers
Easier switching between window managers KDE, IceWM and JWM
Default GTK theme (Panther-LHP) and similar KDE color scheme more consistent across applications
The first 3.xx Lighthouse
release is based on Puppy 3.01 and features Kirk's minimal KDE 3.5.7
SFS integrated into the base system as well as IceWM, GIMP 2.4.3,
FireFox2.0.0.11, JAVA, Thunderbird, XINE, XMMS and K3b 1.03 with nearly
all plugins, plus full graphics accelleration DRI and OPENGL modules.
DRI is enabled by default for ATI display adapters along with
translucency and shadow effects upon login to the KDE desktop. KDE
logout panel includes an option to switch to IceWM and vice
versa.
This is the fastest KDE desktop I've ever used; quick loading and
responsive. Kernel and Init Scripts are identical to Puppy 3.01, except
for modified xorgwizard for ATI AGP cards: Detects Radeon AGP 8x;
dialog offers to set AGPMode to "4" required for DRI to work on my box.

An otherwise identical LighthousePup_3.01a4_oo2.2.iso
includes OpenOffice2.2.0.sfs as a separate SFS file within the ISO for
the convenience of one download, without performance hit of building the additional 98M into the core.
